Structural Integrity Associates and Kinectrics Sign MoU

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc., an internationally recognized leader in prevention and control of structural and mechanical failures, has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kinectrics, Inc., a leader in providing life cycle management solutions for the electric power industry.

“Structural Integrity has teamed with Kinectrics to blend each organization's competencies into an integrated solution to cable system aging management. When combined, these competencies support a comprehensive cable aging management program,” said Laney Bisbee, CEO of Structural Integrity Associates, Inc., in a recent press release

According to the agreement, both the companies will work toward offering a comprehensive methodology for evaluating threats and quantifying current conditions of electrical cables at nuclear power plants. Structural Integrity Associates and Kinectrics will follow a cable aging management program that will ensure the reliability of cables in nuclear plants through a series of inspection and testing done by industry veterans. The tests will be carried out during a plant's current and extended operating license period.

“The team of Kinectrics and Structural Integrity works with each client to develop the contents of a cable health report, including risk ranking and recommendations for inspection and testing, as well as corrective or mitigating actions when needed. Both parties are confident that this alliance allows Structural Integrity and Kinectrics to deliver a much needed and requested service to meeting license renewal requirements for nuclear power plants,” said David Harris, president and CEO of Kinectrics, Inc., in a statement.

The agreement between Kinectrics is yet another achievement for Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. which serves clients worldwide with a dozen branch offices throughout the United States and Canada, as well as affiliates in China, Japan, Korea, and Spain. Structural Integrity's expertise in license renewal programs and data management has helped nuclear power plants worldwide.

In other news, Structural Integrity Associates, Inc (SI) said it is expanding its expertise by developing capabilities for cooling water and service water chemistry.
