MetaVis Unveils Enterprise-Class SaaS SharePoint Online Migration Solution

MetaVis Technologies, a Microsoft (News - Alert) Gold-certified independent software vendor (ISV) that develops software to help organize SharePoint 2010, 2007, 2003, BPOS and Office 365 environments, announced the launch of MetaVis Online.

The new MetaVis Online, an enterprise-class software as a service (SaaS (News - Alert)) SharePoint migration solution, assists organizations to address the needs of any size customer, saving an organization’s time, resources and budget.

MetaVis allows organizations to select from SaaS and/or software solutions to better manage their unstructured information in the cloud.

“Our SaaS offering is highly scalable, secure and will allow companies to quickly realize the features and benefits of hosted SharePoint,” said Peter Senescu, president and co-founder of MetaVis Technologies, in a statement.

“Over the next few months, MetaVis will be expanding the MetaVis Online platform to provide SharePoint users with additional SaaS capabilities, including co-existence of premise based and hosted SharePoint, synchronization, incremental copy and other features,” Senescu added.

Leveraging the enterprise-class software as a service (SaaS) SharePoint migration solution, companies, government agencies and schools can cost effectively migrate to Office 365 SharePoint Online.

“We chose MetaVis Online to move from another SharePoint hosting company to Office 365 SharePoint Online,” said Christopher Eaves, CEO and president of Sabot Technologies, a consulting firm, providing independent analysis, advisory, and management consulting to information technology executives.

“It couldn't have been easier to migrate our SharePoint content -- we just entered our old hosting company information and new Office 365 Team site and pressed start. All of our content and its metadata moved,” Eaves added.

Recently, MetaVis Technologies announced the launch of MetaVis Security Manager for SharePoint and Office 365, which allows users to analyze and manage security permissions, groups/users and levels across multiple on-premise or hosted SharePoint site collections and farms.
