Broadview Networks Proves to be Top Technology Innovator for the Second Year

There’s a place for one-hit wonders, but Broadview Networks (News - Alert) knows nothing about it. Broadview provides a total solution for business communications, including local and long-distance voice communications, and premises-based and patented hosted VoIP systems.

The company announced that it has once again become the recipient of an InformationWeek 500 award as a Top Technology Innovator. The network-based communications and cloud services provider that offers business VoIP services was singled out at the InformationWeek 500 Conference for its “CustView” application which provides cross-functional customer analytics that offer a single view of customer information for all corporate departments in one place, eliminating data silos in all of the departments.

Last year Broadview Networks received the same award from Information Week for its e-Care Enterprise customer self-service portal.

According to the announcement, the ‘CustView’ application is designed to capture data from different areas throughout the organization and to serve as a tool for Broadview’s sales, support, provisioning, repair, customer service, marketing and other teams to gain a consistent informational profile of customers and in turn improve communication with customers.

The InformationWeek 500 is a yearly listing of the most innovative users of business technology in the U.S. The magazine also stays abreast of the technology, strategies, investments and administrative practices of the most well known companies in the nation. Announcement of its 2011 list took place at the InformationWeek 500 Conference at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California.

While acknowledging that InformationWeek has been honoring companies for their technology innovations for 23 years, the magazine’s editor in chief conceded that today, more than innovation is needed to be successful. Rob Preston, InformationWeek editor in chief, said, “In this day and age…being innovative isn’t enough. Companies and their IT organizations need to innovate faster than ever before to stay a step or two ahead of their customers, partners and competitors. This year’s ranking placed special emphasis on those high-octane business technology innovators.”

Broadview clearly understands this. Broadview’s Chief Information Officer Ken Shulman was quoted as saying, ”We continue to invest in system improvements on a company-wide basis that are helping us to serve our customers better and make it easier for our team members to do their jobs. Whether it’s implementing new information tools for customer analytics, deploying enhanced mobile applications on our OfficeSuite platform, or rolling out cloud-based services for businesses, Broadview is committed to innovation on behalf of its employees and customers.”
