Latest Version of SaaS BI Platform PivotLink 5 Unveiled

PivotLink, a provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions delivered via Software as a Service (SaaS), has unveiled the latest version of its SaaS BI solution for iPad, Android (News - Alert) and PlayBook – PivotLink 5 – which can drive business user’s self-service with native mobile support, enhanced visualization and streamlined administration.

According to PivotLink, its PivotLink BI Platform is optimized for analytics and combines various capabilities of self-service, scalability and agility. It combines a flexible architecture with a SaaS (News - Alert) deployment model to deliver complete solutions for complex BI challenges in a very short span of time.

Bolstering agile business intelligence by helping users see more using on-the-fly visualization, the PivotLink 5 helps users to do more in the streamlined administration interface, and share more by taking PivotLink to go on leading mobile devices.

Some of the new features included in the latest version of PivotLink BI Platform includes: native mobile support, streamlined administration, and enhanced visualization.

With the help of the PivotLink 5, users can get mobile access to PivotLink's business analytics in the Cloud. With this, users can view and interact with PivotLink dashboards and reports with native apps for iPad, Android and BlackBerry (News - Alert) PlayBook devices.

Featuring the new PivotLink Administration Suite, the PivotLink 5 provides a powerful toolset to build, manage and extend the BI solution. In addition, the BI solution provides an elegant drag-and-drop interface to streamline deployments and deliver ongoing value to users.

With enhanced visualization capabilities, the PivotLink 5 now allows users to identify regional patterns with Geospatial Mapping; filter collections of reports with Global Dashboard Filters; and define complex conditional formatting rules to find data outliers in reports and dashboards.

Unveiling the release of PivotLink 5 at the at the 2011 PivotLink User Group Conference in San Francisco this week, Bruce Armstrong, CEO of PivotLink, said in a statement, “In addition to strong feedback from leading industry analysts, the positive feedback from users this week has been deeply gratifying -- from a major retailer sharing how they've used PivotLink Mobile on the train, to a manufacturer describing plans to equip their sales team with mobile dashboards so they can track major account sales. Recently, TMCnet reported that PivotLink has strengthened its position in the Business Intelligence (BI) SaaS market by increasing customer deployments, acquiring new customers and winning accolades in the industry.
