Gluster Joins Forces with Savage IO

Gluster, the premier provider of scale-out, open source storage solutions, recently entered into a partnership with Savage IO, a veteran owned company that designs, manufactures and sells cutting edge NAS network storage servers.

Through this partnership, Savage IO will integrate GlusterFS into its American-made data storage systems for on-premise, virtual and cloud environments to deliver high functionality and performance cost effectively.

“As data center demands increase, storage requirements are also increasing, leading to rising costs. At Savage IO, we are focused on controlling these costs while delivering performance, scalability and reliability,” said Joshua Roberto, CEO of Savage IO, in a press release.

“We assure our customers of the best price performance and reliability, without the reflections, bottlenecks and signal loss often associated with cheaper parts. This commitment makes this the ideal partnership as Gluster is also dedicated to providing high performance, reliable storage at a cost that doesn’t break enterprise budgets.”

Savage IO is focused on delivering a flawless infrastructure in order to enable its customers to integrate this new solution into their existing networks, without the fear of vendor lock-in.

The company also offers a denser storage, which can be used with fewer units and an overall decrease in footprint and total cost of ownership.

Customers, with the help of Savage IO's infrastructure combined with Gluster's innovative scale-out storage software, will be able to control costs and deliver the performance and reliability they need to have a successful storage deployment.

Savage IO customers are currently using GlusterFS in a wide range of industries and use cases including healthcare, financial services and private cloud deployments.

Jeff Olson, senior director of channel sales at Gluster, said, “By partnering with Savage IO, we are uniting two companies focused on the same mission--delivering quality storage solutions cost effectively.”

In related news, Gluster and GoGrid, have formed a strategic partnership to deploy Gluster’s highly scalable NAS cloud storage technology within GoGrid’s cloud infrastructure.
