Area-Wide Technologies Joins Certeon's Partner Program

Area-Wide Technologies, an Illinois-based, full-service business solutions provider, has entered into a reseller partnership agreement with Certeon (News - Alert). Certeon is company that provides application performance services.

As Certeon guarantees premier resellers a 20 percent minimum margin for any registered Certeon deal, a significant increase from the traditional single-digit margin that most competitors deliver, resellers working with Certeon can feel confident they have the full support of the manufacturer. For enterprises and cloud providers, Certeon is the first and only company to offer a full line of software-based WAN optimization and application acceleration solutions, according to sources.

Said Peter Dougherty, CEO at Certeon, "Certeon offers a solution for every customer use case, virtual appliance, Windows software and physical appliance. aCelera can be deployed in any form factor the customer requires. When Area-Wide approaches a prospective customer and explains how aCelera is packaged, and the performance it can provide them, they achieve a 95 percent success rate on the sale and the engagement changes from tactical to strategic.”

Poor application access is a significant issue for companies operating branch offices in remote locations. Applications and files that are transferred more slowly across the WAN reduce productivity and prevent the deployment of other application services. With their applications and services running over sluggish, latency-ridden connections, Area-Wide found that many of its customers with users accessing centralized applications from remote locations were experiencing performance issues.

Recently, the company announced aCelera Enterprise for Windows, the industry's first full-featured, WAN optimization solution integrated to Windows Server 2008 R2. This software-based solution is built on Certeon's unparalleled application acceleration functionality. It includes all of the performance, flexibility and scalability of a hardware solution, but at a fraction of the cost and without the hassle of physical deployments. Certeon's latest innovation makes application acceleration a reality for locations that have no virtualization technology deployed.
