National Health IT Week Celebrated by Liaison Technologies

National Health Information Technology or NHIT Week will be celebrated by Liaison Technologies along with other U.S. companies. The important role played by health information technology in improving healthcare delivery in America will be marked by NHIT Week. "One Voice, One Vision: Transforming Health and Care" will be the theme of this year’s NHIT Week which will be celebrated from September 12-16.  An announcement in this regard has been made by the global provider of cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, Liaison Technologies.

Healthcare providers and health information exchanges or HIEs are provided cloud-based data integration and management services by Liaison. These services help in solving external B2B and internal enterprise application integration or EAI challenges. The system-wide adoption of health information technology is therefore accelerated by healthcare providers and HIEs.

Compliance of industry and federal regulations is met by providers, hospitals, health information exchanges and associated organizations with reliable outsourced data integration. Without the expense of capital outlays, they are able to quickly meet meaningful user requirements. More accurate and complete patient records help in improving patient outcomes. Pharmaceutical companies are also able to locate suitable patients for clinical trials through patient information.

In a release, Gary Palgon who is the vice president of Product Management and Strategy at Liaison Technologies said, "Our participation in National Health IT Week reinforces our commitment to helping healthcare providers and related organizations maximize meaningful and secondary use of health information to improve patient care. We're keenly focused on working with the extended IT healthcare information community to leverage technology to benefit the healthcare system."

This is the fifth consecutive year of National Health IT Week being celebrated. Key healthcare constituents will be assembled by this collaborative forum. These include vendors, provider organizations, payers, pharmaceutical/biotech companies, government agencies and industry/professional associations. Research foundations and consumer protection groups are also included in this forum. National attention to the necessity of advancing health IT is elevated through this collaborative forum.
