TRENDnet to Demonstrate Full 450Mbps Wireless Product Family at IFA Berlin

TRENDnetis, the global provider of a complete line of affordable networking solutions for small to mid-sized business and home users, announced that it will be demonstrating the full line of its 450Mbps Wireless solutions at IFA Berlin. The line includes the models: TEW-691GR, TEW-692GR, TEW-684UB and TEW-687GA.

In a press release, TRENDnet explained the effectiveness of its 450Mbps Wireless solutions. The company said that with most computers coming with integrated wireless at 150Mbps, the users can not realize the promised 450Mbps throughput speeds in reality, even though 450Mbps wireless routers are available in the market. Most computers with integrated wireless are rated at 150Mbps. For these computers, the connection speed will still be bottlenecked at a slow 150Mbps, TRENDnet (News - Alert) explained. The company explained that what users need is a 450Mbps client adapter for realizing the 450Mbps throughput speeds. TRENDnet claims that it is currently the only brand to offer a selection of 450Mbps routers and adapters needed to build a fully integrated high performance 450Mbps network.

TRENDnet's 450Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Wireless N Router Model TEW-692GR is the first router to support 450Mbps speeds on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands at the same time. Based on its raw horsepower, the router helps easily stream HD video through the home.

The router features Gigabit Wide Area Network and Local Area Network ports for transferring wired data fast. According to the company, the embedded GREENnet technology reduces port-based power consumption by up to 70 percent.

The company is offering TEW-692GR through its online and retail partners. The product comes with a 3-year limited warranty.

The next model, 450Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router Model TEW-691GR was the very first 450Mbps router launched to market-a full four months ahead of competing offerings. This also comes with a 3-year limited warranty and is currently available from online and retail partners.

450Mbps Dual Band Wireless N USB Adapter Model TEW-684UB has been designed as the first adapter which upgrades laptop or desktop connectivity to 450Mbps wireless speeds. Like its other TEW siblings, the TEW-684UB comes with a 3-year limited warranty and is currently available from online and retail partners.

450Mbps Wireless N Gaming Adapter Model TEW-687GA can be used to network gaming consoles, televisions, and NVRs to the Internet with an ultra-high performance 450Mbps wireless connection. It is easy to setup without requirement for the installation of drivers.The TEW-687GA comes with a 3-year limited warranty and is currently available from online and retail partners.

TRENDnet is also going to unveil 200Mbps Compact Powerline AV Adapter, model TPL-306E  at IFA Berlin. The product has been designed to connect computers and network enabled devices such as Internet televisions, NVRs, and game consoles to the Internet using existing electrical lines. Its small form factor saves space when plugged into a crowded electrical outlet, the company announced in a separate media release.
