SpeedGauge, a global provider of business intelligence and location-based analytics for the trucking and insurance industry, announced its entry into the country of Australia via a partnership with Procon Telematics, a provider of mobile resource management (MRM) solutions.

Leveraging the SpeedGauge platform, customers of Procon Telematics' can identify high-risk driving behavior, educate their drivers regarding safer driving techniques and save money.

“Fleets will benefit from the posted speed alerts and reports, as speeding affects everything from occupational health and safety (OH&S), to vehicle running and maintenance costs,” said Tim Bos, CEO of ProconMRM Pacific, in a statement. “The SpeedGauge partnership is a key piece of our strategy to help Australian companies in the transport and commercial fleet sectors improve OH&S and compliance.”

SpeedGauge’s entry into the Australian market will help Australian fleet owners and managers comply with the growing number of chain of responsibility laws that hold fleet owners and managers liable for the actions and behavior of drivers.
