Imperva, a pioneer in a new category of data security solutions, has reinforced its defense armory by announcing the availability of Imperva Cloud DDoS Protection, a service provides businesses a defense against all types of DDos threats and application attacks that threaten continuity of service.

According to the company, The Imperva Cloud DDoS service combines scalable DDoS protection that is tuned in real time by a team of DDoS experts with technology powered by Imperva's cloud-based subsidiary Incapsula. Its ability to scale on-demand aids in stopping multi-gigabit denial of service attacks.

The Imperva Security Operations Center uses its collective knowledge about DDos threats to monitor application performance so that websites are always accessible.

 As it is a managed service, Imperva Cloud DDoS Protection eliminates the need for expensive overheads and investment in expensive hardware and works in conjunction with Imperva's well known SecureSphere, which stops attacks before they reach the organizations' network.
