ScaleXtreme Announces ScaleXtreme Xpress and ScaleXtreme Xpert

ScaleXtreme, a cloud-based systems management company, announced the launch of ScaleXtreme Xpress and ScaleXtreme Xpert, the free cloud-based systems management product from the company.

The free ScaleXtreme Xpress allows systems administrators to manage an unlimited number of private and public cloud servers, without the need to download anything.

The cloud-based systems management product can manage their most complicated and largest deployments without hassles. Customers can set up ScaleXtreme online in minutes without any software to deploy on-site, company officials said.

“ScaleXtreme has been incredibly easy to use and invaluable in helping us manage multiple cloud servers,” said Vincent Bellet, CEO of TapStic, in a statement. “As Facebook (News - Alert) games and mobile app developers, we need to easily set up and manage applications and testing servers from the cloud. With ScaleXtreme Xpress, we were up and running in minutes, and have found the functionality -- and price -- to be unbeatable.”

Leveraging the freely available ScaleXtreme Xpress, customers can manage their servers, including monitoring, storing and sharing scripts in the cloud, and automating scripted tasks across servers running in both private and public clouds.

ScaleXtreme Xpert is a subscription-based service. It provides more comprehensive features suited to enterprises to manage servers in production environments across more than one cloud provider, with a multi-user systems management tool.

“As more enterprises use multiple vendor solutions for their clouds and management becomes more complex, IT needs a way to manage the cloud as easily as possible,” said Nand Mulchandani, co-founder and CEO of ScaleXtreme. “We feel that everyone deserves to be able to efficiently and cost-effectively manage servers from the cloud.”

Recently, ScaleXtreme announced that it closed an $11 million Series B led by Ignition Partners with participation from previous investor, Accel Partners (News - Alert). The new financing will be used for rolling out new products, expand marketing and sales for ScaleXtreme's innovative new way of managing hybrid clouds.
