NoSQL Now! Conference to Open This Week in San Jose

DATAVERSITY recently announced in a press release that the inaugural NoSQL Now! Conference opens this week in San Jose, Silicon Valley. The conference, which is expected to attract more than 500 professionals from across the globe, showcases the newest trends in the innovative and dynamic field of large, scalable, high-performance databases.

NoSQL Now! will be opened with the launch of Stig, a new open source, horizontally shared, graph database by Tagged. Designed for massive, real-time social applications, Stig makes the access and storing of large amounts of interconnected data easy, without a loss of speed. The event will also see Dr. Michael Stonebraker (News - Alert), database pioneer and entrepreneur, delivering the Wednesday morning keynote address titled “NewSQL vs NoSQL for New OLTP.” Dr. Stonebraker's groundbreaking and at time controversial work on NewSQL technologies is sure to generate lots of reactions from such a large audience of NoSQL devotees.

“Our goal is that the NoSQL Now! Conference provides a platform for new and emerging technologies in this dynamic new field of Big Data,” said Tony Show, founder of DATAVERSITY and producer of the NoSQL Now! Conference, in a recent press release. “In the search for solutions to difficult problems, developers are breaking free from the constraints of the relational database mindset. They are breaking ground and combining technologies to solve tough challenges such as massive web scale performance, real-time analysis, and the management of unstructured data. The whole field is blossoming with new ideas and products.”
