Samsung Securities Picks SAS for Large Analytics to Manage Risk

Samsung (News - Alert) Securities recently announced that they are going to use SAS for analyzing their analytical data to lower risk during critical periods. SAS is the industry leader in business analytics software and services. Platform Computing is the leaders in technologies like cluster, grid and cloud management software.

Samsung Securities is using SAS (News - Alert) Grid Manager for its enterprise risk management and expects to reduce the overall risk by 30 percent while also improving their accuracy of their analysis using the SAS analytical packages. SAS Grid Manager is part of the SAS High-Performance Computing portfolio and it provides unified and central point to manage policies, programs and prioritizations to achieve business goals. These goals are achieved with varied users and with a diverse set of constraints.

In a release, SAS Korea Country Manager Sam Cho said, “In today’s volatile financial market, making powerful, accurate and fast decisions is critical in minimizing risk. SAS High Performance Computing, including SAS Grid Manager, enables our customers to get answers to existing problems faster, allowing them to make ground-breaking, mission-critical decisions that will dramatically change their business.”

SAS Grid computing provides a unified platform for workflow management software and industry-leading grid software powered with SAS Business Analytics. Users can scale business processes and achieve greater completive advantages by accelerating their decisions using the SAS Grid Manager. In a grid computing environment the management and optimization of application processing is automated. Customers can deliver superior utilization, availability and flexibility with industry standard hardware using the SAS Grid Manager application suite.
