- Alert), a provider of wireless and wireline communications services, claimed that it was named as a top provider among market challengers for managed router services in the Nemertes 2011 Pilothouse awards.
The Nemertes PilotHouse award for managed router services recognizes services designed to manage any portion of an enterprise-owned switch/router infrastructure. The award is based on the results of Nemertes analysts interviewing and surveying more than 2,000 IT decision makers and IT professionals who use these services and then rated their providers on technology, value, and customer service.
Sprint claimed that in the awards category its overall score was higher than any of its rivals, and it ranked highest in technology and customer service, while earning a close second in value.
Nemertes asserted that the 2011 PilotHouse Awards recognize the best in terms of technology, customer service and value. The company sees managed services in general, and managed router services in particular, as a critical component of next-generation network services. Business users of managed router services rated Sprint a 4.6 out of 5 for technology, and 4.5 out of 5 for customer service, praising the company’s network technology and overall customer service.
Sprint explained that with its comprehensive suite of managed network, IP telephony, and security solutions, one can leverage Sprint’s technical expertise to keep their network running at peak efficiency and prepare for next-generation technologies. Managed customers also have access to CPE performance data via Sprint's Compass (News - Alert) portal – a no-charge, online tool for real-time WAN performance management, allowing customers to understand, optimize and trouble-shoot network performance, view implementation status, and understand overall network health.
Officials with Sprint ascertained that they are thrilled with this recognition, validating that Sprint’s managed network solutions over deliver on the needs of their customers who benefit by having Sprint manage their entire network, providing increased enterprise flexibility and productivity, and minimizing overall costs.
