Terenine Technology Solutions Installs Fortinet's FortiGate Throughout Its Network

Fortinet (News - Alert), a provider of network security appliances, claimed that its FortiGate has been installed over the cloud-based managed security services network and also in the internal network of Terenine Technology Solutions (News - Alert).

Terenine asserted that its suite of communication tools and services increases employee efficiency and collaboration by keeping employees connected to each other and to critical files and applications. Its Exchange offerings eliminate boundaries between operating systems and enjoy unparalleled mobile communications access on a variety of devices. The company’s technology solutions are tailored to the customer's environment and they include virtualization and cloud-based services, colocation, disaster recovery, backup and tiered storage, applications development and professional services.

According to Fortinet, the FortiGate consolidated security platforms deliver unmatched performance and protection, while simplifying the user’s network. Each FortiGate includes the widest range of security and networking functions on the market, including: firewall, VPN, and traffic shaping; intrusion prevention (IPS); antivirus/antispyware/antimalware; integrated wireless controller; application control; IPv6 support; and more.

For Terenine, Fortinet delivered virtualized network security through its Virtual Domain (VDOM) technology and offers the ability to create up to 250 independent security domains on a single FortiGate-5001A security appliance.

Terenine acknowledged that it chose Fortinet over all the other vendors because it needed to be able to create separate firewall and monitoring rules for clients, and it needed the flexibility of being able to add security functionalities as needed for customers.

Officials with Fortinet remarked that MSSPs are constantly struggling with offering a secure, network security solution that enables their customers the flexibility that they need when it comes to security functionality. Fortinet is a perfect fit for cloud deployments such as this. The FortiGate appliances allow the functionality, as needed by the customer, while also offering superior network analysis and the ability to segment customer networks without multiple appliances having to be deployed.
