ComponentOne Ranked Leading Champion by Info-Tech Research Group's Report

Info-Tech Research Group's recently published Application Development Tools Vendor Landscape report has ranked ComponentOne, a provider of developer-productivity tools essential to build enterprise-level applications for the desktop, Web, and mobile devices, as the leading market Champion. ComponentOne is a privately held company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA.

The report assessed vendors by the strength of their offering and their strategy for the enterprise and evaluated several vendors in the application development space. ComponentOne offers the most well-rounded offering of tools and components covering all the major platforms (desktop, mobile, and Web) pushing them ahead of the pack as the leading Champion in the Vendor Landscape With over twenty-three years of experience.

“From one developer to another, I know there are many decisions one makes when building and supporting applications,” said Bernardo Castilho, chief technology officer at ComponentOne.  “InfoTech has done much of the research for you by evaluating the use of third-party tools and vendors. What sets ComponentOne apart is ease-of-development, performance, compatibility, documentation, and support. Our .NET (News - Alert) controls save developers more time and add more functionality than our competition.”

Providing responsive solutions for clients, using development components and tools helps developers stay current with technology trends. Given that business and timelines are tight, the report discusses how the use of third-party controls is critical to any business these days. While remaining in touch with the leading trends in software, a need exists to get more done in less time, the company stated in a press release.

Recently, the company announced the release of ComponentOne OLAP for LightSwitch, an OLAP screen for Microsoft (News - Alert) LightSwitch. The Company said Microsoft Visual Studio LightSwitch is the latest addition to the Visual Studio family and offers its users a way to create business applications for the desktop and the cloud without code. ComponentOne OLAP for LightSwitch provides custom controls and screen templates for displaying interactive pivot tables, charts, and reports.
