AppDynamics Delivers Disruptive New .NET Monitoring and Management Solution

AppDynamics, a provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and on-premise application performance management (APM (News - Alert)), released a disruptive new .NET monitoring and management solution that can change the way APM is used by IT personnel who support critical .NET environments.

AppDynamics claimed that it is distinct from other APM tools due to its ability to perform in the volatile environment of the cloud, making it a perfect fit for application owners who are migrating applications to Microsoft Azure. The new .NET (News - Alert) application performance solution is available via Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or on-premise and the company added that no other provider offers such a facility to customers.

With the new .NET monitoring solution, one can: realize complete visibility that includes automatic discovery and mapping of the application topology; discover and trace business transaction; perform code level diagnostics to arrest performance degradation; monitor hybrid SOA .NET/Java environments; CLR exception reporting; and more.

One of the clients of AppDynamics acknowledged that it was able to acquire visibility into Java applications at a level that it has not seen before using AppDynamics. With AppDynamics' support for .NET, it can now trace transactions that span its Java and .NET application tiers. Also AppDynamics is the first ever solution that enables clients to monitor transaction performance across technology stacks with business context.

Officials with AppDynamics exclaimed that they are enthusiastic about making application performance easier for .NET stakeholders. Typically, they have seen .NET monitoring tools conform to the stodgy rules of enterprise software: difficult to deploy, expensive, requiring tons of configuration, and never offering anything for free in advance of a purchase. AppDynamics intends to rewrite all of these rules, and their happy .NET customers to date are evidence of the high market demand for AppDynamics’ unique approach.
