- Alert) recently announced that they procured a new European Tier-1 operator win with an initial order of $2 million and a follow-on order of $2 million from an existing Tier-1 operator in North America. Procera’s network market intelligence and a string of significant progress and a technology superior product has helped them to continue a strong market position and plan worldwide expansion in R&D and sales and marketing division.
The eastern European national telco operator win serves more than 3 million fixed line subscribers and has provided an order with Procera for $2 million. The operators were impressed by the PacketLogic solution and the service creation capabilities of Procera. Procera has helped both the telco companies to closely manage capital expenditures by providing network analytics and intelligent policy enforcement and thereby enabled them to increase their competitiveness. Procera’s customers are mobile, cable and fixed-line operators worldwide.
Network intelligence will become a major force by the year 2015 according to industry research firm Infonetics (News - Alert). They predict the market for standalone deep packet inspection (DPI) products will increase up to $2.1 billion worldwide. The consumer demand for bandwidth-intensive mobile data will drive the wireless industry.
In a release, James Brear, Procera Networks president and CEO said, “In the past quarter alone, Procera has secured 20 new service provider customers, including a Tier-1 mobile operator in the APAC region, and our revenues are targeting to grow approximately 75 percent in 2011. This success comes on the heels of the other two major Tier-1 wins in Europe and North America.”
The newest generation policy enforcement technology is available in Procera’s PacketLogic network intelligence platforms.
Brear also added, “We firmly believe the growing momentum we’re experiencing is a clear and direct indication of operators recognizing the real business advantage that Procera Networks PacketLogic network intelligence platforms provide. Operators are using the intelligence and control gained from Procera’s technology to reduce costs and introduce innovative new services that are allowing them to differentiate themselves and drive additional revenue.”
