Qualys Demonstrates New UI for the QualysGuard IT Security and Compliance SaaS Suite

Qualys (News - Alert), a provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) IT security risk and compliance management solutions, released the beta version of and demonstrated the new UI for the QualysGuard IT security and compliance SaaS (News - Alert) suite.

The new context-based UI comes with packed interactive dashboards, streamlined workflows, actionable menus and filters with improved visual feedback – all designed to simplify customers’ means to use the services present in the QualysGuard suite.

According to the company, the QualysGuard Security and Compliance Suite eliminates network auditing and compliance inefficiencies by leveraging the organization's core IT security information. In one consolidated suite, groups with different responsibilities can utilize similar information for their specific needs.

The new QualysGuard UI is easy-to-use with powerful Web2.0 capabilities and consolidates the user interfaces in the QualysGuard Suite for vulnerability management, policy compliance, Web Application Scanning and PCI (News - Alert) Compliance, making it seamless for customers to transition to the next generation platform.

The research firm, Gartner, remarked that application usability combined with vulnerability and zero-day detection technologies with the ability to enable and enhance third party validation efforts are critical for organizations looking to protect themselves from the latest threats and vulnerabilities.

Officials with Qualys added that their SaaS model allows them to deliver additional security and compliance applications at a much more rapid pace and at a much lower cost than traditional enterprise solutions. While providing a more powerful and more interactive user experience, the new Web 2.0 UI is capable of offering a user-role-based view that presents meaningful information in a relevant manner to the various enterprise stakeholders. It has also been designed to provide a seamless transiton for users to Qualys’ new Java based back-end as they now can flip at a click of a mouse from the old UI to the new UI and vice versa.
