DataChambers Intros a new Cloud Hosting Service

DataChambers (News - Alert) has introduced a new Cloud Hosting service, saying that it’ll enable companies to replace or extend their existing server network without making a costly capital investment.

Hosted, maintained and managed by DataChambers, a secure computing infrastructure will be accessible over the Internet, according to company officials.

The company has designed Cloud Hosting for maximum flexibility so companies can respond quickly to changing business dynamics and budgets, said Nicholas Kottyan (News - Alert), CEO at DataChambers, adding that they can lower their hardware and maintenance costs, improve scalability and eliminate the headaches that can come with managing their own in-house servers.

Users of the service can replace their existing servers using Cloud Hosting.

Companies can do so to augment their existing computing capabilities or to provide redundant processing capacity in the event of an in-house network outage. Company officials said that in each instance they will have the ability to respond to changing information technology needs.

To the new service offering, DataChambers has added additional high-speed Internet ports to expand network connectivity and new high-availability cloud infrastructure and routers to expand capacity. Moreover, it has upgraded existing servers and routers for compliance with IPv6, an emerging Internet protocol.

In addition to an onsite power substation and dual power grids and multiple backup generators, the service is also supported by security and surveillance systems, and redundant connectivity to virtually every major communications carrier in the country.

Additionally, DataChambers and its team are SAS (News - Alert) 70 Type II audited to ensure continuous protection of client systems and data, said company officials.

Clinical Ink, a provider of electronic source records for clinical trials, is one of the early adopters of Cloud Hosting. DataChambers houses and manages the servers Clinical Ink uses to deliver applications to clients around the globe.

“Cloud Hosting helps us keep in sync with customer demand,” said Doug Pierce, CEO of Clinical Ink. “We can easily scale our capability as our needs ebb and flow, while keeping our hardware investment steady.”

Earlier in April, Synergem Emergency Services, which supplies benchmark Next Generation 911 network technology to 911 services agencies throughout the U.S., selected the DataChambers to host systems that deliver a Next Generation 911 network and applications to public safety agencies.
