Dynatrace Releases DC RUM Version 12.4 with New Performance Analytics

The data centers of today are operating under a dynamic environment in which organizations of all sizes are accessing a wide range of IT services to run their business. It is therefore vitally important for operators to have total visibility along with monitoring tools to more effectively manage their infrastructure for optimal delivery of services. Version 12.4 of the Dynatrace Data Center Real User Monitoring (DC RUM) has been improved to address these very points with tools that will solve problems that affect users by quickly identifying them.

As organizations move to hosted and application intensive IT services, analyzing the performance metrics in the context of the user's experience makes it possible to identify and prioritize the most pressing problems so IT teams can resolve them.

With an average of 871 applications being managed by large enterprises, according to Gartner (News - Alert), the level of complexity is only getting deeper. Dynatrace provides the insights for managing this complexity by discovering and revealing the type of impact it will have on the experiences the end user will have with deep network and application tier detail.

"As modern data center and application architecture complexity increases, infrastructure monitoring alone isn’t enough to understand service quality. The new iteration of DC RUM addresses the challenges of this changing landscape by supporting a seamless and effective transition to more service-oriented IT operations," said Steve Tack, Senior Vice President of Product Management at Dynatrace.

The new DC RUM introduces new interfaces to external IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) and dashboarding solutions, transactional insights into new application environments and visibility into virtual networks for a comprehensive view into how IT and network performance impacts user experience.

And as delivering a superior customer experience falls into the domain of IT operations teams, the solution they choose must address the latest development in the segment, such as SDN and IT Operations Analytics

Key features of the DC RUM version 12.4 include application dashboards to summarize all of the apps in a single screen, and universal decode to simplify prototyping and delivery of analysis modules based on transactions. The new version also has enhanced auto-discovery features that provide insights into network traffic patterns immediately for applications, cloud services and virtual networks.

Some of the other features include IT operation analytics, virtual network visibility and high-speed Agentless Monitoring Device (AMD (News - Alert)).

Access to what the customer is experiencing gives operators insights into anticipating problems and improving services before it even affects the end user. The new Dynatrace DC RUM version 12.4 is a solution that provides this type visibility as IT services keep getting more complicated.
