Infoblox Reveals the Hidden Value of Core Network Services Data

The complexities of today’s networks require solutions that are able to keep track of what is happening in the infrastructure at all times. With uptime and reliability the cornerstone of proven service providers, not having a predictable network infrastructure is a sure fire way to lose customers. The Infoblox Reporting and Analytics solutions looks to give operators new insights by unlocking the hidden values of core network services data.

Operators not only deal with anticipating future network overloads and failures, but they also have to address security threats and compliance requirements. The Infoblox (News - Alert) Reporting and Analytics has been designed to create custom reports and dashboards with data about what has taken place, as well as, “Uniquely predict the future,” this according to the company.

Unlike traditional predictive tools that relied on anticipating spikes or peaks as a result of possible attacks or outages, the patent-pending Exponential Moving Maximum (EMM) filters from Infoblox have a different approach. The highly accurate forecasting with EMM results in delivering insights into network status, resource usage, performance and more

In as little as 20 minutes administrators can capture critical information so it can be used to ensure application availability, security, compliance and capacity planning. Infoblox has services that sit at the core of the network, so it can collect the most important pieces of data from physical and virtual Infoblox Grid members.

"I'm excited by the power and flexibility Infoblox Reporting and Analytics can give me to dig into network data that was previously inaccessible," said Simran Sandhu, manager of network infrastructure at Adobe Systems (News - Alert). "The new features will help distill the signals from the noise and give the flexibility to structure dashboards that provide predictive analytics on the efficiency, security, and future health of our network."

The company also provides almost unlimited data storage through clustering as well as allowing users to add more physical or virtual reporting appliances so they can keep the data for as long as they need. Once the report is finished, it can be exported with several of the most popular open formats, including PDF, CSV, JSON and XML so it can be distributed to anyone.

Infoblox Reporting and Analytics is anticipated to be available on January 29, 2016, for Infoblox virtual and physical Infoblox Reporting Appliances running NIOS software version 7.3 or higher. Clustering is expected to be available in April 2016.
