Just in time to be counted among the acquisitions of 2015, TT Electronics has announced that it has acquired Aero Stanrew Group Limited. Aero Stanrew Group Limited is headquartered in Barnstaple, Devon. TT Electronics is the name for a wide variety of business divisions. Focused on components and integrated manufacturing services, the company is entrenched in the transportation, medical, aerospace and defense, and industrial market sectors. The addition of the Aero Stanrew brand adds a powerful leader in production and design of electromagnetic components and electronic systems. These components are specially designed to be designed in harsh environments and safety critical applications. These are areas of key growth and a significant acquisition for TT Electronics. The company expects the acquisition to allow them to provide a wider range of solutions directly into target markets where customers are in the aerospace and defense sectors.
Aero Stanrew overlaps with some of TT Electronics’ business areas, especially as it is known for its solutions in complex technical challenges. TT Electronics is looking at the combinations as a powerful strategy play that enables wider capabilities for its top customers. It will also open up more aerospace and defense customers in the process as this is a special position for Aero Stanrew. By combining with TT Electronics, there is also an opportunity to leverage the expertise and global networks of the parent company, meaning better opportunities for its clients across the board.
TT Electronics Chief Executive Richard Tyson said in the announcement, “We have a clear goal to return to sustainable, profitable growth. The acquisition of Aero Stanrew accelerates our strategy and strengthens our position in growth areas of the aerospace and defence market, enhancing the Group’s technology and product portfolio.”
He also stated that the two companies had a great alignment in cultural, technology, and customer fit.
