Oracle User Productivity Kit 11.0 and Oracle User Productivity Kit Professional 11.0 Unveiled

Enterprises keep looking for solutions that reduce project timelines and increase acceptance of their enterprise/business applications, to maximize return on investment (ROI), as the deployment as well as adoption of enterprise applications involves complicated processes.

In an effort to help accelerate the successful deployment, adoption and ROI of enterprise applications, Oracle unveiled its Oracle User Productivity Kit 11.0 and Oracle User Productivity Kit Professional 11.0.

As an open and integrated business software and hardware systems company, Oracle (News - Alert) now helps in increasing productivity and adoption for Oracle, third-party and custom applications projects via its newly launched Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) and Oracle UPK Professional.

According to Oracle, the Oracle User Productivity Kit 11.0 and Oracle User Productivity Kit Professional 11.0 are easy-to-use and a complete content development, deployment and maintenance platforms that speeds project, program, user productivity, and enterprise application adoption with new ways to deploy as well as access information and knowledge.

With the help of Oracle UPK Professional, project teams can alleviate risk through all phases of any project lifecycle, reduce the time to deployment considerably, and also ensure end user adoption.

Supporting applications from Oracle, SAP, and Microsoft (News - Alert) as well as tailored and custom applications, the Oracle UPK Professional features a centralized web-based platform for content deployment, tracking, and custom reporting.

Apart from reducing project timelines and overall software implementation and maintenance costs, the Oracle UPK Professional can quickly produce materials tailored for all phases of the software lifecycle – from test scripts, system process documents, and interactive simulations, to job aids, instructor manuals, presentations, and in-application performance support.

In a press release, Trish Trolley, senior director, Oracle User Productivity Kit Product Management, said, “New features in Oracle User Productivity Kit Professional 11.0 target the challenges traditionally associated with user adoption, helping customers achieve IT project success.”

Some of the new functionalities incorporated into the latest version of Oracle UPK Professional include enablement content to jumpstarts projects and maps success from the start with best practices documentation and instructions; web-based Knowledge Center to help improve efficiency, measure organizational readiness and support ongoing proficiency on a centralized content deployment, tracking and reporting platform; conceptual-based assessments and links to increase user adoption and knowledge retention; and deployment enhancements to streamline publishing with a redesigned publishing wizard.

According to Oracle, the new features incorporated into the UPK Professional 11.0 will facilitate customers to rapidly create and access engaging content. Consequently, this increases knowledge transfer and reduces content maintenance time.

Apart from the new features, theOracle UPK and Oracle UPK’s pre-built content - available for many Oracle Applications – facilitate in reducing content development time as companies can easily customize a prebuilt library of transactional recordings to meet their unique business requirements.

As reported by TMCnet, Oracle Siebel CRM recently earned place in Gartner's (News - Alert) Magic Quadrant for customer service call centers.
