By Calvin AzuriLenovo's (News - Alert) SimpleTap user interface on its Think-branded PCs will now include SugarSync technology. Quick access to the personal cloud will be therefore possible. An announcement in this regard has been made by the maker of the award-winning SugarSync online file backup, access, sync and sharing service, SugarSync Inc.
In a release, Laura Yecies, Chief Executive Officer of SugarSync said, "As more and more people recognize the power of the Cloud for storing, syncing, accessing and sharing all of their files, they expect the Cloud on all of their devices. This demand for Cloud services on all devices has been a huge driver for SugarSync, as we support both Mac and PC platforms as well as 95 percent of all mobile devices worldwide."
According to Yecies, users of Lenovo’s Think-branded PCs will be able to access SugarSync Cloud easily right out of the box, with this relationship.
Customers are given quick, easy access to the content, hardware controls and software applications they use most with Lenovo's innovative touch interface, SimpleTap. Customers can simply tap or click a SugarSync "tile" provided in the SimpleTap interface to sign up for SugarSync. Alternatively, existing users can log in via the tile. One-touch access to SugarSync will be provided by the SugarSync tile in SimpleTap to logged-in customers. Files, photos, music, movies and other data can be backed up, accessed, synced or shared by customers across all of their computers and mobile devices.
Geoffrey Bula, Director of Software Product Management at Lenovo said, "SimpleTap is just one of the ways we're delivering the most intuitive PC user experience: Users have their most frequently used content, hardware controls, and software applications at their fingertips. Today's PC users want to access their files and work from anywhere, and by collaborating with SugarSync, we're making the Cloud easily accessible via one touch through SimpleTap."
