Kanguru Eliminates Password Woes

Various studies of human traits show that people naturally have trouble remembering passwords. The task can be difficult, especially as password standards become more complex and are updated more frequently. The situation presents one of the biggest points of overhead for IT departments: password management. Further, some environments require security all the way around and that extends to data locations on your desktop, on mobile, and on USB drives. Kanguru has a solution for that problem on their secured and encrypted USB flash drives. The company has integrated a convenient and optional feature into its products that lets customers reset their own password if they need to.

The system is known as Defender Self-Service Password Management (SSPM). SSPM will only work with the Kanguru Defender secure flash drives included on the following list:

  • Kanguru Defender 3000
  • Kanguru Defender 2000
  • Kanguru Defender Elite300
  • Kanguru Defender Elite200
  • Kanguru Defender Elite30
  • Kanguru Defender Elite
  • Kanguru Defender Basic+
  • Kanguru Defender Basic

Self-service password reset systems are nothing new to the information technology scene, but there hasn't been a robust, flexible solution for USB drives until now. Available on one year and two year subscription plans, the system allows for unlimited reset of passwords if they are ever forgotten. SSPM is configured by setting users to identify the email of their choice that will be used to reset the password.

Kanguru has been providing high-end secured USB options to the enterprise for years. Its products utilize top-grade hardware encryption, manageability, anti-malware, and a refined user experience to deliver solutions that business can rely on. Its products are known for their flexibility and security, and over the years, has exhibited the ability to meet and surpass stringent federal, healthcare and financial industry security regulations in a variety of situations. Simple to use, manageability, and secure compose a trifecta of answers for business to put their confidence in when selecting a solution for their data security needs. Adding self-service password protection will also answer the element of administrator overhead.
