Actifio Copy Data Virtualization Platform Offered in Oracle Cloud Marketplace

Oracle (News - Alert) Cloud customers now have access to Actifio’s copy data virtualization platform. The company, a platinum-level member of Oracle’s Partner Network, has made the platform available in the Oracle Cloud Marketplace.

Actifio’s offering facilitates hybrid cloud setups for the enterprise, enabling customers to increase the mobility of data between the cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The result is a better and more seamless integration of Oracle Cloud with existing data centers, along with improved resiliency, backup, disaster recovery and LTDR to virtual database provisioning.

Accessibility via the Oracle Cloud Marketplace makes it easier for Oracle customers to access and deploy the platform. It is especially useful for system integrators who wish to use the Actifio solution to provide Baas, DRaaS and test data management services to their own customers.

"Actifio frees enterprise applications from infrastructure," said Ash Ashutosh, founder and CEO of Actifio. "From the beginning we've enabled Oracle customers to manage, access and protect their applications faster and more efficiently. Now, as more and more of those customers need those same capabilities to enable a hybrid cloud environment, Actifio is making it easier than ever to extend an existing data center into the Oracle Cloud."

This isn’t the first major cloud alliance for Actifio, and last month the company announced it was working with AWS through its Actifio Virtual Data Pipeline technology. The company is using AWS infrastructure to provide backup, disaster recovery and test data management solutions to enterprises as well as MSPs. The company’s platform is also available through the AWS Marketplace to facilitate deployment and ease of use for Amazon customers.

Actifio is additionally working with the Google (News - Alert) Cloud Platform and the company’s customers may access the Google Cloud Storage Nearline long-term vaulting solution directly from Actifo’s platform. The result is that customers can move application data directly into the Google Cloud for high availability as well as cost savings on long-term storage.
