LogMeIn Named One of 'Best Places to Work' for Eighth Straight Year

The Boston Business Journal released its annual list of “Best Places to Work” earlier this week, and, for the eighth consecutive year, LogMeIn (News - Alert), Inc. found itself among the top 3 amongst all large companies. LogMeIn’s CMO, W. Sean Ford, was elated at the news, saying “It is an honor to be recognized among Boston’s elite businesses as a top place to work.” The company is one of the largest cloud software companies in Boston and the largest in the Fort Point district, employing nearly 600 people.

This award was given based on anonymous surveys of employees of various companies in the Boston area. Clearly, LogMeIn employees are extremely happy with their working conditions, something Ford (News - Alert) was extremely pleased with. He remarked that another year winning this award “validates the dedication we’ve put into building and sustaining a rewarding and fun culture in which innovation and creative ideas can thrive.” Plainly, LogMeIn recognizes the advantages of having a strong positive workplace culture in the office.

LogMeIn will look to continue their incredibly high standard of employee relations as they plan to undergo dramatic expansion. In an interview with our own Erik Linask (News - Alert) at Cloud Expo, Sean Lorenz discussed the growing influence of IoT technologies, especially the need for greater ease of connectivity, both between devices and the IoT and from one device to another.

The company has already begun to take the first steps in their expansion, while at the same time pledging to remain a part of the Boston community. They recently purchased additional office space in the Fort Point district of Boston, across the street from their current world headquarters. This will effectively double their office space and create hundreds of new jobs in the Fort Point area over the next couple years, as the company continues to show its commitment to both its employees and its community.
