ESI Releases Educational Materials for Resellers

Estech Systems (ESI (News - Alert)) is known for the cloud-based private branch exchange system it launched in 2014. With that entry, it has begun to shape a new market where the cloud is paving the way for a new type of PBX (News - Alert) that does not have to run on a business's premise. Therefore, it is essential for the communications provider to give its resellers the right tools to advance that product.

This is exactly what ESI is doing with the new resources it is making available to its resellers. The company announced new educational resources in addition to tools that will help resellers with campaign development, product management, and sales support. ESI states its position in its announcement where George Platt, the company's CEO, speaks about the change in the market and the need for clients to realize the value of cloud-based products.

“Interest in the cloud is at an all-time high, and resellers need to view cloud PBX solutions as an equally viable product as traditional, premises-based phone systems,” Platt said. “With our portfolio of products and solutions, ESI can help resellers expand into cloud services without abandoning their core customer base.”

The launch of the ESI PBX took place around this same time last year. It was released with the goal of making the communications system a part of everyday life for business officials—a way to make it easy to complete calls, manage voicemail, and handle conferences with multiple individuals. At that time, Platt remarked that his company's mission was to offer tested features that businesses expect without making the entire system complicated.

On the part of resellers, trusted ESI associates will have dashboards which give them a look at their customers' performance. If any one client's setup is giving them trouble, the dashboard can highlight those problems and prompt partners to jump into action. Of course it will be necessary for tech teams to fully understand how the cloud-based system works, so the new educational materials will provide them with the proper information to understand the nature of how the entire product operates.

This knowledge will also be necessary when demonstrating to potential clients the benefits that the cloud can offer. With the potential for lower costs and increased reliability, the ESI PBX can take the place of an on-premise legacy PBX without a loss of features. Now resellers will have more tools and resources than ever before to make sure they translate those benefits to their customers.
