Cloud technology is increasingly becoming the preferred IT solution for many organizations because of the flexibility, scalability and affordability it provides. Whether it is SMBs or multinational enterprises, they are using one form of cloud computing as part of their overall IT solution. With the global market becoming ever smaller, providing this technology requires an infrastructure capable of delivering services around the world as if it was local. As the owner of the world’s largest private undersea cable system, spanning more than 67,000 route kilometers (41,000 miles plus), Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) has introduced Cloud X Fusion, which allows enterprise grade connectivity with direct access to Google (News - Alert) Cloud Platform.
The GCX infrastructure provides comprehensive services designed to address the needs of today’s carriers, enterprises and new media companies with customized solutions. The company’s global reach gives organizations access to markets around the world with reliable technology that is essential in today’s ecosystem. The company’s customers will give its users the ability to move large volumes of workloads on a global scale with high network performance and robust security.
As the CEO of Global Cloud Xchange, Bill Barney said, “A successful cloud strategy is not just about choosing the right architecture and cloud provider, it's about gaining the right access to your cloud services.”
Google Cloud Interconnect can now be accessed directly through GCX's private network with Cloud X Fusion, allowing enterprises to use Ethernet or MPLS VPN to securely connect their on-premises network, data center or any other network resources. The user portal makes the global resources of the fiber optics technology the company uses easily accessible with a pay-as-you-go model that gives customers the agility, flexibility and cost-efficiency to grow as needed without long term contracts of traditional services.
The platform provides dedicated connection into Google Cloud Interconnect at six major locations around the world, including Los Angeles, New York, Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Cloud X Fusion features:
“With our global infrastructure and direct connectivity in more than 90 countries, GCX provides mission-critical cloud connectivity from the developed markets of North America and Europe to the Emerging Markets Corridor, extending from the Middle East to Asia,” added Barney.
