CompuCom Announces New Network, Cloud and Mobile Access Solutions

CompuCom, already one of the leading technology infrastructure services companies in the world, has just announced brand new Network Access, Cloud Access and Mobile Access Solutions. These new solutions were primarily created in house by CompuCom but they were developed through the AT&T (News - Alert) Partner Exchange program.

By working through this program, the solution is able to combine the industry leading talents of both CompuCom and AT&T in a way that will connect end users to business applications as well as information. These connections will take place while simultaneously reducing the costs and complexity of the managing network, cloud and mobile infrastructure requirements.

“Unlike other providers with single, discrete products or services, CompuCom’s Access Solutions deliver tightly integrated network, cloud and mobile solutions that can also be employed individually. CompuCom has simplified companies’ implementation of these critical technologies with an offering that eases adoption, in part powered by AT&T,” CompuCom CTO Sam Gross said in a recent statement announcing the solutions.

This is hardly the first time CompuCom has forged a partnership with one of the top tech companies in the world. The firm actually routinely establishes business relationships with other tech companies. Sometimes those relationships even come in the form of a division purchase or selloff. Such was the case in late March when CompuCom agreed to sell off its Software Business Unit to the well-known software licensing specialist, SoftwareOne.

Perhaps that sell off was part of CompuCom’s new found drive and focus when it comes to these access solutions, which offer scalable, network transport services, pay-as-you-go services that allow for the setup of infrastructure on-demand and better mobility access. Among the other features these new solutions will provide better visibility when it comes to IT resources as well as an easier standardization of reporting.

Users of all three of the new solutions will be able to better manage costs since they will be able to measure end-user productivity more easily. These solutions have also been tightly woven into the CompuCom converged technology operations that are able to help predict and avoid negative impacts to users’ productivity.
