Acision, a global provider of mobile data, in association with Accuris Networks (News - Alert), a member of the Acision Innovation Network, will provide Alltel Wireless with Accuris Networks' over the air (OTA) solution.
The OTA solution is expected to enable Alltel Wireless, a provider of wireless services to customers across six states in the U.S., to deliver value added services to subscribers such as handset activation and national and international roaming updates.

Acision is playing a key role in the integration of Accuris' platform with the operator network, ensuring a flawless installation. Accuris is an Irish provider of inter-standard and convergence solutions.

Acision's deployment at Alltel Wireless will enable the carrier to use Accuris Networks' OTA platform, AccuPROFILE, to automatically activate, update and reprogram all handsets in use in their network.

Recently, Accuris Networks announced a new mobile data offload solution to help mobile operators make mobile broadband services more profitable. Its AccuROAM product enables data offload to Wi-Fi and WiMAX (News - Alert) using SIM-based authentication with existing mobile networks.
