Bradford Augments Partnership with FireEye to Restrain Advanced Network Threats

In the information age, wired and wireless networks are vulnerable to security threats. Making them hacker-proof is a horrendous task. Hence, it is essential for organizations to detect and contain advanced threats, including compromised endpoints, by combining advanced treat intelligence and rapid threat response.

To make a way forward in this direction and restrain advanced threats in real-time, Bradford Networks (News - Alert) has technically integrated its Network Sentry/Rapid Threat Response (RTR) with the FireEye Threat Analytics Platform (TAP).

For those unaware, FireEye (News - Alert) focuses on cybersecurity and malware protection to impede cyberattacks, advanced malware, zero-day attacks, and more. Its strategic partner, Bradford Networks, is a provider of rapid threat response solutions designed to minimize the risk and impact of cyberthreats.

Bradford’s patented Network Sentry helps in continuously assessing the risk of every user and endpoint on the network. This solution can even remove vulnerable and compromised devices automatically, thereby creating obstacle for cybercriminals.

According to Bradford, Network Sentry integrates with the other advanced threat detection solutions, through the company’s SmartEdge platform, bridges the silos of security, network, and endpoint information to enable automated threat containment before it has an adverse impact on the business.

Apart from representing the continual support of Bradford Networks' technology alliance with FireEye, Inc., the latest technical integration of Network Sentry with the FireEye TAP helps enterprises to not only gain risk awareness of every user and endpoint on the wired and wireless network, but also quickly contains high-risk endpoints that pose a threat to sensitive information.

In addition, the integrated technologies enable enterprises to intercept the risky, vulnerable, and compromised endpoints attempting network connections, while also enabling them to make informed decisions about which user and endpoints should be allowed to establish a connection to the network.

Ultimately, the technical integration of Network Sentry with the FireEye TAP reduces the impact, time, and cost resulting from cyberattacks, say officials with Bradford.

As cited by Steve Pataky, vice president of worldwide channels and alliances at FireEye, TAP is able to associate FireEye's threat intelligence with Bradford Networks' user and endpoint information. In addition, TAP's ability to apply threat intelligence and actionable analytics to enterprise data becomes even more powerful with the integration of Bradford Networks' Live Inventory of Network Connections.

Sanjit Shah, vice president of business development, Bradford Networks, said in a statement that Bradford Networks already has a strategic partnership with FireEye. This earlier partnership includes integration of Network Sentry/RTR with the FireEye Network Threat Prevention Platform (NX Series). With the latest integration, both the companies’ mutual customers will now gain from the combination of advanced threat intelligence complemented with rapid threat response, together will contain compromised endpoints.
