Extreme Networks Provides a Competitive Advantage to Businesses

Extreme Networks (News - Alert) – whose offerings are used by several winning pro football teams – is a competitive provider of software and business analytics.

Among the many benefits from its offerings is the capability to tell CIOs what applications are on a network and explain how responsive they are. In this way, CIOs will be able to make much better decisions and businesses, in turn, can become much more productive.

“Applications drive business,” Philip Johnston, regional sales manager, Extreme Networks, said in an interview with TMC’s (News - Alert) Rich Tehrani. During Interop New York 2014, Johnston also pointed out that there are several reasons for a company to pick Extreme Networks over its competitors.

Price is a major factor. He explained Extreme Networks has the “best total cost of ownership in the market.” When comparing them to their largest competitor, Extreme Networks is half of the cost to own over five years. “To any CFO I think that would be a tremendous value because you can take those dollars and allocate them to other projects and other internal initiatives,” Johnston said.

There are other reasons, too, to select Extreme Networks. They include the company’s unique management platform, their business analytics solution, the fact it is a large company that has been around for 20 years, and that it is the fourth largest networking provider.

All of these reasons continue to lead to success at Extreme Networks. “We’re growing. We’re doing well. We want to continue to do better. And we think we have the right solutions to help us achieve that growth,” Johnston said. To see more of Johnston comments, please click here:

Evidence of this growth can be found in Extreme Networks’ success with several American pro-football stadiums. The company is providing a Wi-Fi deployment for the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium, the fifth NFL team to use Extreme. (The Bengals are also using the Extreme Wi-Fi coach’s strategy.)

Extreme Wi-Fi is also found at the New England Patriots’ Gillette Stadium and the Philadelphia Eagles’ Lincoln Financial Field. In addition, Wi-Fi projects can be found at the Tennessee Titans’ LP Field, and in a joint deal with SignalShare at EverBank Field, where the Jacksonville Jaguars play home games.
