Peaxy Unveils Hyperfiler

Data is important for organizations; but gathering and systematically evaluating such data can be a daunting task. In these days of the information superhighway, managing a large volume of unstructured data requires special expertise.

Offering such expertise, Peaxy, Inc., has unveiled the Peaxy Hyperfiler, its hyperscale data management system. Peaxy Hyperfiler allows users to access and manage large amounts of unstructured data. The best part is, their business will not be interrupted in this whole process. This is especially useful for engineers who need to extract data from diverse sources in various stages of product development lifecycle, the company has stated.

Peaxy Hyperfiler solves this problem by making data from various sources on a single data path. This enables companies to work faster on data-intensive initiatives and employ advanced analytics to the available data. This is also expected to improve efficiency and mitigate risks. The company had launched the product earlier this year and conducted various tests before offering it to the public now.

“Leading edge research and engineering businesses understand that the key to faster innovation cycles and better productivity requires a rethink of how to store data for easy accessibility," said Manuel Terranova, president and CEO at Peaxy."We help these companies turn massive amounts of technical data into a readily findable asset--today, next week, next year, next decaderegardless of IT cycles. The companies we aim to serve initially have longer term product lifecycles--they want to find and harvest the dataset over the long haul, often significantly more than 50 years.”

In 2012, the company received a $2.5 million seed round and started Series A discussions with a select group of accredited investors. The investors in the company included technologist and Silicon Valley visionary, Federico Faggin. With this funding, the company put together a world-class 15-member team with domain expertise in large-scale file systems.
