FortyCloud Joins McAfee Security Innovation Alliance Partner Program

Privately-held FortyCloud, a pioneer in cloud network Security-as-a-Service, has joined McAfees Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) partner program.

The McAfee (News - Alert) Security Innovation Alliance (SIA) is a technology partnering program created to help accelerate the development of interoperable security products and to simplify the integration of these products within complex customer environments. Working together, McAfee and its partners deliver solutions more comprehensive than those available from any single vendor.

As part of the SIA program, FortyCloud has completed integration with McAfees Next Generation Firewall (NGFW).

The integration will help McAfee NGFW customers to securely connect on-premises NGFWs to Infrastructure-as a-Service (IaaS) deployments on any public cloud.

Unified and flexible network security for every enterprise environment. McAfee Next Generation Firewall integrates visionary security features with high availability and manageability, delivering advanced network protection across one’s entire enterprise — from corporate headquarters and branch sites to data centers and the network edge.

McAfee Next Generation Firewall integrates application control, intrusion prevention system (IPS), and evasion prevention into a single, affordable solution.

It is the only next-generation firewall solution to unite anti-evasion security with enterprise-scale availability and manageability

Amit Cohen, co-founder and CEO of FortyCloud, said that the company looks forward to further enhance the mutual value propositions by integrating with additional McAfee products later this year.

“McAfees decision to add FortyClouds solution to the SIA program underscores their commitment to providing customers with enhanced layers of safeguards and the strongest levels of security for public cloud and hybrid scenarios,” said Cohen in a statement.

“We are proud to add FortyCloud to the select list of technology partners in the McAfee SIA program,” added Ed Barry, vice president of the Security Innovation Alliance, McAfee, part of Intel (News - Alert) Security. “Our Security Connected strategy embraces technologies beyond our own, and we expect that our joint solution will create powerful new workflows for security and compliance in the cloud.”

TMCnet in June reported that FortyCloud has launched a network security-as-a-service for the cloud that breaks new ground by enabling companies to make their public cloud – private.

The FortyCloud Solution isolates and interconnects cloud deployments using a distinct “overlay network.”
