SpaceMonger 3 Beta Now Supports Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive and Google Drive

The invention of the magnetic tape by German engineer Fritz Pfleumer in 1928 ushered in a new way for humankind to store information. The process has been evolving at an incredible rate and today you can store one terabyte of information on a USB flash drive the size of your index finger. The ability to store more data means there is more information out there, and now the problem is managing the data efficiently to maximize storage capacity. EdgeRunner, a software publisher, has launched its SpaceMonger 3 Beta with Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive and Google (News - Alert) Drive support to simplify the process of finding unwanted folders and files so they can be moved or deleted to make room for more data.

SpaceMonger is designed to manage all the files in the drives of your system by using an easy to use platform that visualizes all of the structure. Once the application scans all of the drives it will collect all the information about each file and provide a treemap.

The treemap provides detailed information on a panel with a corresponding box for each single file or folder. The size of the box depends on the space it takes on the hard disk, and each box has a corresponding color assigned by the application. By going through each box, the user can drill down through the treemap to determine what needs to be deleted, saved or moved to another location.
