New Vantage Cloud from Actiance Offers Management for Real-time Communications

eDiscovery and security company Actiance has rolled out its new Vantage Cloud offering for communication networks. The solution helps make management and compliance easier for organizations requiring high levels of control over their communications and collaboration.

Vantage Cloud is available as an on-premises offering or via Software-as-a- Service (SaaS (News - Alert)), which makes Actiance’s entire Governance Platform available to organizations transitioning to the cloud. For those companies requiring strict granular policy control, the solution meets SEC (News - Alert), FINRA, IIROC and FCA requirements.

“The larger trend of moving IT applications to the cloud has created a need for cloud-based compliance and eDiscovery services,” said Sean Pike, program director, Governance, Risk and Compliance Infrastructure, IDC (News - Alert). “Software-as-a-Service offerings, like the Actiance Governance Platform, allow companies to meet their requirements for internal governance, regulatory compliance, and eDiscovery readiness without having to make additional investment in infrastructure and staffing.”

The platform supports cloud solutions like Microsoft Office 365, Jive, Salesforce Chatter, Google (News - Alert) Talk, Yahoo Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger, with more apps to be added. This enables customers to supervise, capture, disposes, retain or otherwise review dynamic social content in one location. All communications may now be kept in the cloud, eliminating the need for on-premise hardware and software management.

Just last month, Actiance announced support for Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 in the platform, including Exchange Online and Lync. Considering Microsoft purports 60 percent of enterprises have deployed or are planning to deploy Lync either on premises or in the cloud, the move is a strategic one.


The Actiance Governance Platform acts as a security, compliance and eDiscovery solution by capturing and managing all social media interactions for action and analysis. The company’s Alcatraz solution is a cloud-based, context-aware archive for both email and real-time communication channels that displays dynamic social context through a single pane of glass.
