PROMISE Technology Debuts FileCruiser to Bring Private Cloud Storage Service to Businesses

Businesses seeking to build their own secure, scalable private cloud storage service can now leverage PROMISE Technology Inc.’s FileCruiser.

PROMISE is an ISO-9001:2008 and ISO-14001:2004 certified manufacturer of storage solutions. It has developed its own enterprise-class hardware and software storage architecture, in addition to complete SAN, NAS and Unified storage platform product lines.

The company’s new FileCruiser is a private cloud all-in-one storage solution that combines hardware and software to enable anytime, anywhere access of data. It is a private enterprise file synchronization and sharing (EFSS) solution tailored for enterprises and small to medium businesses (SMBs).

When juxtaposed against other public FSS services, FileCruiser is deployed on-premise. Hence, users can manage the entire system, including hardware and software configuration. This in turn assuages security concerns of confidential data in public services.

Currently available through the PROMISE global network of distributors and value added resellers, the FileCruiser has been incorporated with business-class features set and powerful application programming interface (API) for integration with users' systems.

Above all, the FileCruiser allows users to access and sync large-sized files and transfer data on multiple platforms. It also eases team collaboration with access controls, while offering enterprise-level security, such as remote wipe, data encryption in transfer and storage, 2-factor authentication, secure sharing and collaboration, reporting and auditing tracking.

"Cloud storage is an enabler for innovation, collaboration and productivity," said James Lee (News - Alert), CEO, PROMISE Technology, in a statement. "It provides a means for mobile access that keeps workers connected and contributing. This is one of the reasons we see the amount of data being stored in the cloud growing at such a rapid pace. However, we know that in a business setting, security continues to be a top concern. With FileCruiser we're not only offering Dropbox (News - Alert)-like services, but also building in enterprise level security in a platform that is designed to be deployed as a private cloud to deliver the highest level of protection."

Apart from featuring seamless integration with existing IT systems, the FileCruiser also supports bring your own device (BYOD) and redundancy to protect both servers and storage. According to the company, the introduction of FileCruiser marks the first step of the company’s roadmap to introduce a lineup of innovative cloud solutions that address the rapidly expanding data storage and access needs for businesses and organizations.
