SendGrid Opens Office in Southern California

SendGrid, a provider of application email infrastructure solution, recently opened its new Southern California office. The new office, which is located at downtown Orange (News - Alert) at 814 W Chapman Avenue, is within walking distance of public transportation and local restaurants. The company has announced that it will be hiring new talent for the office.

"Our company's gifted founders are based in Orange County and we hope our new office will help us draw even more high caliber talent from the local technology and business community."

SendGrid's cloud-based platform increases email deliverability, provides actionable insight and scales to meet any volume of email, relieving businesses of the cost and complexity of maintaining custom email infrastructures. The email delivery platform of choice for 160,000 web application companies and developers, including Uber, Foursquare, Pinterest, Airbnb, Twilio, Spotify (News - Alert) and Pandora, SendGrid delivers more than 100 billion emails per year.

Founded in 2009 as part of Techstars and based in Boulder, Colorado, SendGrid is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, Foundry Group, Highway 12 Ventures, Bullet Time Ventures, SoftTech VC, 500 Startups and several notable individual investors such as Matt Mullenweg and Scott Petry.

In related news, SendGrid recently announced its partnership with ProfitBricks (News - Alert), the Cloud Computing - Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) company. The partnership is a strategic milestone for both companies with SendGrid continuing expansion efforts with a leading IaaS provider and ProfitBricks referring customers with transactional email to SendGrid to solve their customers' email deliverability challenges.

Through the partnership, ProfitBricks' customers will benefit from SendGrid's SMTP services and APIs, email deliverability features, best-of-class customer support, and advanced analytics. ProfitBricks' customers can take advantage of SendGrid's advanced deliverability features, including their own dedicated IP address, whitelist services, ISP deliverability outreach, feedback loops and more, as well as Sub-User, Parse and Event APIs.
