Prior to joining Rajant, Byles held executive positions in numerous companies, including Firetide Inc., Comstor US, E-Band Communications and Relevant Security. He has also worked for Motorola (News - Alert) Inc., where he successfully developed a channel program for the company’s Canopy product line.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kirk to the Rajant team,” said Bob Schena, founder and CEO of Rajant Corporation. “With our strategic focus on the oil and gas and utility space, his experience will be invaluable as we continue our growth in those industries. We are excited to get started and utilize Kirk’s years of channel experience in the wireless industry.”

Rajant Corporation enables secure communications-on-the-move through a portable meshed wireless network that can rapidly reconfigure and adapt itself in real-time, all without any real-time administrative action, even in applications where many to all network nodes are moving in real time. Rajant's BreadCrumb Wireless solutions provide networks for military, mining, oil & gas, homeland security, first responders, railroads, telecommunications service providers and public safety, and provide voice and data communications across a self-forming, self-healing mesh network.

In related news, Rajant and Becker Wholesale Mine Supply (WMS), the leading supplier of mining electrical products and services in the Western Hemisphere and a subsidiary of Becker Mining America, recently announced a strategic partnership. As part of the agreement, Becker WMS now offers Rajant's Kinetic Mesh technology to help solve its mining customers broadband communication network challenges worldwide. The strategic partnership is already delivering results as Rajant and Becker WMS were recently selected to deploy Rajant's Kinetic Mesh Network in North American Coal Corporation's Sabine Mine.
