Enterprise Strategy Group Reviews PanTerra Networks' SmartBox

Enterprise Strategy Group (News - Alert) (ESG), a full-service IT analyst and business strategy firm, has recently reviewed PanTerra Networks' SmartBox and confirmed the business value of integrated file sharing and unified communications for mid-market enterprises.

Also, the strategy firm also assessed PanTerra (News - Alert)'s WorldSmart Solution which brings together the cloud-based SmartBox file sync and share solution with PanTerra Networks' CloudUC unified communications service. After a thorough analysis, the firm has concluded that the combination of the two in a business environment is very useful for enterprises and brings market differentiation in a crowded market space.

“The value proposition of PanTerra Networks is clearly in its integrated communications/file sharing value,” said Terri McClure, senior analyst, ESG. “It is much more than just another file-sharing solution. For IT departments looking to provide an integrated communications, desk and file sharing solution, this fits the bill nicely."

According to the review, SmartBox helps users to share and secure files easily and even allows integration with existing applications. Users can share exactly what they want to and with whom they want to. They also get specific share privileges to control and are even allowed to upload and share from virtually any device, and can also synchronize files across multiple device types.

Users can also synchronize file updates instantly and track the open and download content. Along with these accommodating features, SmartBox eliminates frustrating FTP and VPN complexities with an easy to use consistent user interface that is available on desktops and mobile devices.

SmartBox also supports full sub-folder sharing to help users to keep their optimized folder structure and "explicit" shares in whatever sub-folder they want to.

In addition, users can import full contact information from Outlook, Google (News - Alert), Yahoo, or any generic *.csv file format. This solution also has built-in two factor authentication and remote login blocking feature for further security as supplementary users integrate mobile devices into the workforce.
