Firedrive Service is Now Enhanced with Mozilla Extension and Download as Zip Function

Secure Cloud Storage Service Firedrive is helping users from all over the world to effortlessly store, stream and share files with anyone. Firedrive currently boasts more than 3.5 million registered users- with 500,000 new members since launching a new platform in February 2014.

As a premium cloud and backup storage solution, Firedrive is perfect for students, professionals, and anyone who needs access to more than 150 types of files from multiple locations. With Firedrive, users can quickly and effortlessly organize their personal and professional data on any device –the only requirement is internet connection.

To offer easy access to its customers, the company has recently announced two new features such as a new Mozilla (News - Alert) extension and another function that allows users to download files as a Zip.

“Downloading as a Zip has been requested by many of our users and we have prioritized it in our development schedule this quarter,” stated CEO Joseph Turner. “We hope our users will enjoy the savings in bandwidth as well as the convenience this new feature provides.”

The new feature allows unregistered Firedrive users to download up to 50MB as a Zip and Pro users to download up to 2GB. Whereas, the Mozilla extension allows Mozilla users to easily upload any image file they find in their Firedrive account.

Users can easily download the Mozilla extension and install to upload any image by right clicking on the image and selecting “Upload the Firedrive.” The company has also announced its plans to release an updated version later in this quarter, to allow uploading of non-image file-types.

In 2014, Firedrive plans to introduce several new features, including: desktop applications for both Mac and Windows, iOS and Android (News - Alert) native applications, backup and syncing, and end-to-end encryption.

“We can’t wait to continue providing important new features and functions as we continue to grow,” Turner said.
