SnapLogic: Integrate Disparate SaaS Applications Securely

In order to remain competitive, small and midsize businesses (SMBs) must adapt and evolve with advancements in technology; cloud adoption, analytics and SaaS (News - Alert) applications together could help them to do so, were it not for the fact that disparate applications, distributed over different cloud services means that business data is fragmented and hence pose security risks.

A joint survey conducted by SnapLogic and TechValidate, a trusted third-party research organization, indicated that data privacy and integration continue to be SaaS adoption barriers and highlighted the demand (of more than 100 U.S. companies) for the right approach to integrating SaaS applications.

“As SaaS application, analytics and API adoption grows in the enterprise, the ability to connect with other systems is the essential ingredient to long-term customer success,” observed Darren Cunningham, vice president of marketing at SnapLogic.

Almost half the respondents cited privacy concerns as a barrier to SaaS application adoption, while the remaining indicated difficulties of application and data integration.

The fact that 56 percent of survey respondents were running four or more SaaS applications with half of them indicating that 25-50 percent of their business applications would be delivered as a cloud service by 2015, does heighten the need for a good cloud integration service.

When choosing a cloud integration service, more than half the respondents (59 percent) listed speed or time to value, while 53 percent cited flexibility and agility as primary business drivers. Relying upon on-premises integration tools for cloud integration was a costly hassle-filled affair with constant purchases of software, hardware and licensing models, not to mention making end point changes that involved integration re-work.

“Integration should be a cloud accelerator not a bottleneck, which is why increasingly companies of all sizes are looking for modern, elastic integration alternatives to power their cloud services initiatives,” observed Cunningham.

With the award-winning SnapLogic Integration Cloud, organizations can more quickly and affordably accelerate the “cloudification” of enterprise IT with a fast, multi-point and modern integration platform as a service (iPaaS).

Hence, TechValidate results point out the necessity of future proofing initiatives with solutions like those from SnapLogic, which allow customers (even with no technical skills to boast about) to connect cloud-based data and applications with on-premise and cloud-based business systems.

SnapLogic’s elastic integration helps to not only eliminate the complexities of integration in the face of evolving technology, but also satisfy the increasing demand for privacy and security.
