Hostway Helps Empower the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

Hostway (News - Alert) has made a donation of $10,000 to Junior Achievement of Chicago. The company believes that this donation is a step towards encouraging future entrepreneurs to achieve great feats in the coming years.

This is not the first time Hostway has donated to a cause, as it has also supported various community initiatives in the past. For example, in 2012, the company donated $10,000 to the Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund. Going forward with its charitable initiatives, the company selected five charity organizations and showcased them on its website. It also asked the visitors to rank their favorite charity among these. Junior Achievement received the most votes and was selected for the $10,000 donation from Hostway.

On the occasion of this gift giving program, the company has congratulated Junior Achievement of Chicago. Junior Achievement instills qualities such as work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship programs in children of all ages. It has more than 120 area offices in the United States and reached an all-time high of 445,460 students during the 2012-2013 school year.

Junior Achievement believes that students need an educational program that makes them confident about themselves and arms them with skills required to excel in the current economic scenario. Junior Achievement also believes that rising unemployment rates among the youth also encourage them to be more entrepreneurial.

“Junior Achievement inspires young people and helps them succeed, which is an incredibly important mission," said Hostway CFO Mark D. Adolph. "Through JA of Chicago, nearly half a million area students get hands-on knowledge of what it takes to start and grow a business and contribute their talent in the workplace. At Hostway, we're proud to give back to the community by helping this outstanding organization continue its heroic endeavor.”

On the business front, the company was recently accepted into the Microsoft BizSpark program as a Network Partner. According to Hostway, BizSpark will be the “cornerstone” of the portfolio of services in the coming days.
