HP has introduced new offerings to help accelerate mobile and cloud-based testing, while improving user experience and increasing cost savings. These offerings are actually new versions of existing products within the HP Application Lifecycle Management portfolio, which has also seen an uptick in supporting offerings, such as AccuRev’s AccuSync, lately.
HP’s new software offerings are meant to help enterprises improve planning and development, lower test costs, and speed up delivery of apps, all while reducing potential business disruptions. The offerings of most note are HP Application Lifecycle Management 12, HP Quality Center Enterprise 12, and HP Unified Functional Testing 12.
Application Lifecycle Management 12 and Quality Center Enterprise 12 both offer a simplified, intuitive user interface designed to be accessible on PCs as well as mobile devices. Additionally, mew requirements, definition, and management features result in a comprehensive, Word-like authoring environment with full traceability throughout the application lifecycle.
Unified Functional Testing 12, meanwhile, helps eliminate potential errors by integrating quality assurance earlier in the app development cycle. It also reduces costs by simplifying test automation with HP Business Process Testing 12 embedded into the UI. Finally, Unified Functional Testing enables more efficient testing with direct integration into Application Lifecycle Management and Quality Center Enterprise.
