AudioCodes (News - Alert) is a company that designs, manufactures, and sells advanced Voice over IP and converged VoIP and data networking products and applications to service providers and enterprises.
The company’s family of Multi-Service Business Routers (MSBR) enable service provides a range of all-in-one SMB routers combining access, data, voice and security onto a single device. These Routers are claimed to be ideal for SIP trunking, hosted PBX (News - Alert) and data cloud services, and allows service providers to deploy flexible and cost-effective solutions and to maximize revenue opportunities while minimizing CAPEX and OPEX (News - Alert). These routers are fully certified for use with Microsoft Lync, which is an enterprise-ready unified communications platform.
"With a range of models to suit varying customer requirements in terms of scalability and telephony interfaces, AudioCodes MSBR platforms are an excellent solution for customers who are looking at a gradual migration towards hosted unified communications or who wish to retain their legacy telephony equipment," explained Felix Wunderer, vice president, Business Communication Products at Deutsche Telekom.
Deutsche Telekom will be deploying AudioCodes MSBR at customer locations of both its hosted Microsoft Lync Unified Communications (UC) services Deutschland LAN Hosted Lync and EnhancedBusinessCommunications (EBC). As planned, Deutsche Telekom will be offering AudioCodes Mediant 500, 800 and 1000 MSBR platforms to customers requiring integration of its hosted Lync service with their existing telecoms equipment and PSTN connections.
Apart from being Lync-qualified, AudioCodes' MSBR family offer session border controller, media gateway and data router capabilities integrated into a single hardware platform. It supports a variety of integrated digital and analog telephony interfaces, combined with comprehensive SIP interoperability, enabling customers to achieve a smooth migration to IP telephony and unified communications.
"We are delighted that our MSBR platforms have been chosen by Deutsche Telekom for this important new service," commented Lior Aldema, chief operating officer and head of Global Sales at AudioCodes.
