Clouds Interconnect Offers Softswitch as a Service

When you see the term SaaS (News - Alert), it typically stands for software-as-a-service. In the case of Florida company Clouds Interconnect, however, the term represents the company’s “softswitch as a service,” or CloudSoftswitch.

Clouds Interconnect describes itself as a telecom solutions provider, with its primary offering being the scalable CloudSoftswitch, which provides a fully functional telecom software suite running in the cloud.

“It basically allows any company that wants to become an ITSP to get started with us with zero investment in hardware and software,” Ameed Jamous, president of Clouds Interconnect, said in an interview at ITEXPO (News - Alert) Miami. He added that customers merely have to subscribe to the CloudSoftswitch and can then scale services as they grow, with access to a variety of features for a relatively low cost.

By providing services via the cloud, Clouds Interconnect can offer service providers prepaid calling and billing systems and a complete set of tools to get them up and running. This is ideal for VoIP carriers, prepaid calling card providers, MVNOs and managed service providers (MSPs).

Clouds Interconnect also provides a Telecoms Exchange platform that creates a central hub for VoIP traffic. International telecom carriers may route traffic through a single platform without having to develop and maintain their own interconnectivity partners and solutions. This gives customers access to low-cost routes throughout the world within a matter of seconds.

In addition to the CloudSoftswitch and associated voice, hosting and mobile application services, Clouds Interconnect provides telecom consulting, specialized software development and managed network security services.
