WildTangent and Network Partners Form World's Largest Cross-platform Games Network

WildTangent recently announced comScore (News - Alert) has recognized WildTangent along with its network partners to be one of the largest cross-platform games networks in the world. Right now, WildTangent reaches more than 168 million monthly visitors from across the world. WildTangent is the third largest mobile games network in the U.S. The company is a global games company that focuses on the distribution and monetization of mobile, social, and online games.

In a release, Mike Peronto, CEO, WildTangent, said, "I'm pleased with our mobile momentum, but we recognize that much work remains to reach our goal to be the top mobile games company in a rapidly evolving industry. Unlike other app stores, which are racing toward a million apps, we target quality games over sheer quantity. With this approach, great games are easy to find and enjoy, and we continue to draw rave reviews from those that matter most to us -- our customers."

WildTangent has achieved a number of significant milestones such as forming key partnerships with manufacturers like Sony and ASUS and mobile carriers AT&T (News - Alert) and EE. The company reported an eightfold year-over-year increase in mobile gaming; sevenfold year-over-year increase in mobile advertising; and in 2013 alone more than 400 premium game titles have been released; more than one million downloads of the Polar Bowler 1st Frame game; launch of a full-screen mobile BrandBoost ad unit to aid in expansion of premium mobile advertising offerings; and launch of WildTangent Games App for Android (News - Alert).

Mike Peronto went on to say, "To remain on our current path, we'll leverage our technology and years of gaming experience to grow in several key areas. One area we will focus on is to continue developing new partnerships with global mobile carriers to introduce our service to more gamers, particularly through expansion in Europe and new markets including Brazil and Latin America."

The WildTangent Games App is pre-installed on major PCs including those of HP, Toshiba and Acer (News - Alert). The app provides a home base for game players and helps to keep the games organized. With thousands of premium games in its portfolio supported by WildTangent’s patented technology, consumers enjoy free in-game items and have the option to rent games for a fraction of the retail price using micro-currency.
