Cyber security consulting, training and services firm Foreground Security recently announced that it has been chosen as one of the first approved RSA (News - Alert) Managed Security Partners (MSPs). This designation by RSA, the security division of EMC (News - Alert) Corporation, positions Foreground Security to provide next-generation managed solutions, designed to accelerate the detection and management of security incidents and vulnerabilities, to its government and commercial clients
"As the only RSA Authorized Services Network Level 3 partner in the United States, Foreground Security is proud to now become one of the first RSA Managed Security Partners," said David Amsler, Foreground Security founder and chief information officer.
As part of this partnership, Foreground's V-SOC service has been integrated with RSA's next-generation technology capabilities. Thus, the complete array of RSA's SOC (security operations center) capabilities will now be supported by Foreground's staff and V-SOC service.
Together, the companies hope to help enterprises protect themselves from modern sophisticated cyber attacks that can cause severe damage in the absence of skilled security staff and modern security technologies. Foreground and RSA's alliance also provides clients with comprehensive visibility into their network operations and security posture.
“The answer is in a new generation of managed security services based on expanded visibility, proven analytics, integrated threat intelligence and incident response best practices to help enterprises more quickly respond to and better manage security incidents from malware infections to more targeted and sophisticated cyber attacks. Together with partners such as Foreground, we're now able to help fulfill a vital need to deliver intelligence-driven security and advanced cyber defense capabilities to enterprises as a fully managed and customizable set of services,” said Grant Geyer, RSA vice president of Security Analytics.
Foreground Security Director of Cyber Operations Mark Orlando and Foreground Software Security Analyst Adam Willard will be presenting on this precise subject at the RSA Conference 2014 on February 28, 2014 in San Francisco, California. The duo will use real-world case studies and examples to offer practical and affordable approaches for security professionals.
